Plans & Policies
The plans and activities of DDC are guided by the Royal edicts, clauses in the Constitution of Bhutan, and enactments of the past National Assembly sessions. Besides, the DDC also has a Commission as its highest decision making body with the Honourable Prime Minister as its current Chairman. The Commission board consists of nine members including the Chairman. The guiding plans and activities are as follows:
Dzongkha will remain as a symbol for national identity and cohesion.
To functionally develop Dzongkha to meet its usage as the national language.
To be the leading institute in the country for development and promotion of Dzongkha.
To preserve the other indigenous languages of Bhutan.
Develop and enhance Dzongkha usage in computing environment.
